Books
to Africa Program
The East Hampton Library is now involved
in a program called Books to Africa. Alexandra Giambruno has been
collecting any culled books from our childrens collection
and they will be brought/shipped to the Gariseb Primary School in
Sorris Sorris, northern Namibia. This is a school out in the most
remote area of northern Namibia called Damaraland. It is a public
school with very limited resources for supplies and our books will
be well appreciated! We hope to continue with this program possibly
4 times a year and we are looking for outside funding to support
this endeavor that is so worthwhile.
