Books to Africa Program The East Hampton Library is now involved in a program called Books to Africa. Alexandra Giambruno has been collecting any culled books from our children’s collection and they will be brought/shipped to the Gariseb Primary School in Sorris Sorris, northern Namibia. This is a school out in the most remote area of northern Namibia called Damaraland. It is a public school with very limited resources for supplies and our books will be well appreciated!
Elephant Human Relations Aid (EHRA) and the Library are jointly assisting in the renovation of a classroom into a library for the students and community and donations are needed for construction materials, book shelves, tables and chairs as well as the shipment of books.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
