Reserving Library Materials Policy

Resident Card Holders of the East Hampton library may place a reserve (hold) on all library material. Reserves cannot be made by phone. There is no charge for this service but books with multiple reserves will have a 25-cent fine per day if overdue. In fairness to all patrons materials will be held using the following criteria:

3 Day Loan Period - Held for 1 Day
1 week and 3 Week Loan Period - 4 Days

Materials not picked up by the hold dates listed above will be placed at the end of the reserve list if there are multiple reserves and discarded if there are no other reserves on the material requested.

We encourage weekend patrons to indicate their statues when filling out the reserve card.
