Applying for a library card
You may obtain your card by applying
at the circulation desk in the main room of the Library.
*At age 15 we will automatically change the privileges of a Children’s Library Card to that of an Adult Library Card. Adult Library Cards have privileges to borrow any circulating item in the Library. Parents have the option of changing their child’s Library card to an Adult Library card before the age of 15 or keeping their child’s Library card as a Children’s Library card until the age of 18.
You are entitled to a Resident
card if:
- You are a taxpayer in East Hampton,
Wainscott or Springs School districts.
- You are a renter for at least 6 months in
the above districts.
- You are a student attending school
East Hampton, Wainscott or Springs.
Any one of the following
is accepted as proof of residency:
- Deed to Property
- Property Tax Receipt
- Property Survey
- Tax Bill
- Lease (minimum 6 months)
- Voter registration card
- Student I.D. from one of the schools
mentioned above
- Current driver's license or car
registration showing a street address in library taxing district.
- Two utility bills showing your current street address, one current and the second at least six months old.
Residents of other library districts
are entitled to direct access privileges. |
