libraries of Suffolk County.
What do I need
in order to get borrowing privileges at East Hampton Library?
Patrons from other Suffolk
County libraries need only present a valid library card for
borrowing privileges at the East Hampton
Library.
You must have your library card when checking out materials.
What am
I entitled to borrow with this account?
A Direct Access account entitles you to most items in our collection.
Are there
things I am not permitted to check out?
At this time you cannot check out item new entertainment DVDs
and Videos or Juvenile DVDs.
Can I reserve
books or request interlibrary loans?
Requests for items are made through your home library. Visitors
from PALS member libraries may place requests for any item in the
County
Catalog from one of our Online Public Access Computers using
their barcode and PIN.
Are there
any items not available through interlibrary loan?
New and popular titles are not available through interlibrary
loan.
How do I
return the materials I have borrowed on Direct Access?
Materials may be returned to any Suffolk
County Library. Please note that it may take several days for
the item to travel to the East Hampton Library and be checked in.
