Public Access Computers
The East Hampton Library currently has 17 computer terminals dedicated for patron use:
- 2 with games for toddlers and pre-schoolers in the Children’s Room
- 2 for school age children and teens with games, Internet, and productivity applications* in the Hedges Room
- 9 workstations with Internet and productivity applications* (2 in the main lobby, 5 in the Reference Room and 2 on the lower level)
- 4 Online Public Access Catalog's (OPAC's; 1 in the Children's Room, 1 in the Reference Room, 1 in the Fiction Room and 1 on the lower level)
*Productivity applications include Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher; Corel Wordperfect and OpenOffice.org.
The Internet is accessed via Public Browser Internet Browser. Restrictions apply. All websites may not be accessible.
Files may be saved onto a floppy disk or USB drive. Patrons may bring their own media or purchase a floppy disk at the Circulation desk for $1. The library assumes no responsibility for loss of data while using the library’s public access computers. |
